The house of Saint Charbel
This is one of the first houses Bekaakafra returning the tenth century. At that time the village contained some old houses built of natural stone. Saint Charbel was born in this house May 8, 1828. Since 1950, the house became under the auspices of the Lebanese Maronite Monks, which joined the Order of Saint Charbel. A new convent was built at his side, which was transformed with the first house into a shrine visited by thousands of believers in Lebanon and around the world.
